New Allure

Hi All,

Miy wife and I have just become the owners of a 2003 Allure. It is the double slide in the living room. Although it's only 32 feet, and we traded a 38 foot, with the double living room it feels spacious.
We are new to this forum, so any help or advice would be appreciated. Everything has worked well so far, but we had heavy rains here in Vancouver, and found a small puddle under fridge. From reading this forum, before apparently this is pretty common. Put the slide out and haven't had any more. We are looking forward to hearing from any one about your experiences with CC and particularly Allures. Is there anything else we should know. Should we try to fix this ourselves? take to factory, or Dealer? Thanks again for your thoughts.

Joe Frazier,

I'm not able to give you much on the Allure but I do believe the Allure and Intrique are much the same except for a little better interior, that is if you want the increased weight it entails. I do have a 40' Intrique and I love it. I have thought a lot of trading for a 32" and probably will. I would like for you to keep me in mind, let me know how you like living in a 32' against living in your previous 38'. I'm slowing down and there are many places I would like to stop and shop or sight see and can not because of the size of the rig.

Thanks for responding. I will keep you and anyone interested in our motorhome adventures. We did get a little leak under the dometic. I called the factory and they said to get some silicon and seal up the opening which I did. They were very nice, much nicer than that folks who made our last poorly made motorhome. This is a very plain jane MH compared to some, but the cabinetry is exquisite, and the construction is very solid. Our first drive and quite and squeak free.

Take care,
Joe and Patti-

Hi,

My wife wanted a 24' chinook so a 32' was a compromise for us. And actually the 36 triple and the 32 grand room double are about the same price at least in the allure. I know the other models are more expensive. We love the way the 32 drives and the power to weight ratio is great. We did have to get used to less storage but as we were cleaning out all the junk from the 38 we found there were things in it we hadn't seen or touched for over a year.

Happy Motoring,
Joe and Patti
