Soot stains

Does anyone have a product that will remove the dark soot stain that appears on the carpeting right next to the wall?

I had the same problem that was caused by the seam in the right rear wheel well. Resealed it and problem went away. Used heavy shop vac and then cleaned with Resolve spot and carpet cleaner available in Wal-Mart.
