Leaking Entry Door

We have a 2002 Allure, 30747. We took factory delivery on 08/14/01. The factory and several service centers have worked on the door, but with very little success. The leak used to be so bad it would leak when we washed it.
It is not quite as bad now, only leaks with a heavy rain. Besides leaking, it has bad wind noise, rattles, and is hard to close.
Apparently there are quite a few Allures & Intrigues with this same problem.
Has anyone had this problem, has it been corrected, or is it still pending repair either with CC or the door manufacturer, Avionics?

I had a door rattle also.

There seems to be a horror story about the entry door about once a year. CC just didn't get it to fit right during manufacturer. Tolerance buildup could be the issue.

Suggest you measure very carefully the door and the frame at all ends both vertically and horizontally.
I did replace the stricker plate and used aircraft locking nuts and bolts which fixed my problem and now holds the door more secure.

I too had a door that leaked air & would open if not deadbolted while driving. Mine was a striker plate problem. The latch was not closing completely. The two piece striker plate was not adjustable so I ground a small amount of metal off. It now closes tightly, no air leaks and doesn't try to open while driving.

Had similar air leak issue on my '95 Intrigue. I did two things, 1) ground the double striker plate to allow the dead bolt to fully seat, and 2) adjusted (IN) the two large screws on the door that mate with the jam plate. This kept the door and the jam from moving apart and prevented the dead bolt from back out of the double striker plates.

No problems since the adjustment.

I recently posted concerning a leak on the entry door on our 2002 Allure.
There was a response but unfortuntely I deleted in by mistake and did not get a chance to read it.

I would certainly appreciate it if the person posting would send it again.
Also anyone else having this problem. It has been over a year and there seems to be a real problem when, or IF, Avionics is going to come up with a solution.

Thanks for the responses on the door problem. Unfortunately the striker plate does not seem to be the problem on the 2002 Allure. I believe there were only a limited few off the line in 8/01 with this type of door problem.
Thought we had the water leak problem somewhat cured at the last service center stop but heavy rain in south TX resulted in a substantial water leak.
This is in addition to the wind noise and vigorous slamming to secure the door.

Have a spring appointment at CC, Junction City. Hoping for the best but after a year of repairs and research by CC and Avionics am becoming pessimistic.
