PS Sofa

We have and '05 Allure 430 which has a fold in half sofa on the Kitchen side. Has anyone changed this sofa for a true pull out double bed and if so who did it.

I believe there is about 73" between the cabinets and the wall.

If you have model with a kitchen slide on the passenger side, you need to check to see if (1) the sofa is sitting up on a platform and (2)if you have aquahot that no hoses are running under the sofa.
In case that you find the raised slide platform and/or hoses then any sofa will have to be elevated to a level that will be most uncomfortable of anyone less than 6'6" tall.
If the floor is flat then you are in luck. Flexsteel makes and excellent hide-a-bed sofa with an inflatable mattress that is very comfortable. You can order one from www.vehiclespecialty.com/
I changed out one on a 2004 Inspire which worked great. Then moved up to 2005 Allure and could not get a hide-a-bed to fit the raised floor. The changeout is very simple. Most any RV shop could do it for you if you do not want to tackle it.

In the 05 Allure the passenger sofa CAN NOT be replaced with an actual pull out bed. There is a step under the sofa that covers some plumbing and, I think, part of the slide mechanism. We had the kitchen sofa replaced at Villa....the replacement was made with a lower seat height to match the sofa on the driver side...Villa protected the plumbing connections that SIT ON the step under the sofa with metal supports fitted over them. There is NO WAY to get a sofa bed on the kitchen side in an 05 Allure.

We tried too
