New Tire recommendations please

Time for new tires and I'm torm between the Michelin XRV or the Goodyear G670. I'm aware of the old zipper blowout problems with the XRV, are these still valid concerns or has Michelin resolved thst issue? Any issues with the Goodyears? Interested in your feedback. Thanks.

Not for the coach but a recent purchase of very expensive Wranglers by Good Year (over $1,000 for a set of 5) leave serious quality control concerns with this customer. I bought 5 and they had to replace all 5 within 10 miles of use. A little searching on the internet found lots of the same experiences.
Members of this list have described that Michelin does not provide warranty service like they used to so if you have a problem you might be on your own.
After a lot of searching and research we bought Firestones for our coach last Spring. About $100 per tire cheaper than Michelin/Good Year, rated for RV use, lots of warranty sources and so far we are very happy with them.

In August 2007, I went to a local truck tire dealer for my 4 rear tires and came away with Yokohama RY023LRH 295/75R22.5 drive tires from TDS for $1496. These are what they stick on the local school buses, coal trucks, long-haul rigs, etc. I made the mistake of paying $950 for two front GoodYear G670LRH tires in 2006 (considerably more nowadays). Next time I will go local and ask for two steer tires for my fronts - probably Yokohama tires. These have worked out great so far.
