Practical Implications of Buying a 2005 Allure - Howard Role in Desi

Eric, could you share your thought behind the ". . . a 2005 42' Intrigue is hard to beat. It is the last of the classic coaches before the Howard redesigns" comment.
What did the Howards do to post 2005 coaches, in your mind, to cause the loss of the 'classic' label.

Curious minds want to know.

Well for one a 2004 or 5 Intrigue 42' Ovation has counter space for preparing food, if you full time this is important.
Look at the available counter space in later coaches. As we get older our eyes require much more light. Look at the differences in light levels between coaches before 2004 and those after 2006. A 2004/5 Intrigue Ovation can carry 9,000+ lb. of cargo, in the form of dishes, utensils, books, clothes, tools, bedding, CD's, DVD's. A 2006 Intrigue 45' with less storage space underneath, 2900 lb.. now later on they went to a heavier front end which allowed almost 4,000. Then there is the issue of Cat engines, which run too hot and have other issues, so much in fact they are incapable of meeting 2010 standards and are no longer allowed for over the road use. There are other issues, but they would be confined to different models over different years. Like the ceiling panels on the 2006 Intrigue that like to fall on the floor, or the fact that the coaches with the updated ceiling with clouds. The air conditioner vents are no longer shuttered so you can't control air flow where needed. There are a lot of coaches where the AV

electronics aren't cooled properly, resulting premature failure. How about some dashes that are no longer

functional for anything more than looks. Many coaches tires are being over tasked or run right at the limit. But that has been an issue from the beginning. So do your home work. But with all CC issues, they are the best of the rest!!!
TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731. Other wise I would have something else. I can't afford an inferior product....
