Need air compressor for ITR Hurricane heater

I have one last test to complete, but I think I need an air compressor for my Hurricane. The manufacturer does not have any in stock, so I am looking for someone who might have a spare, or know of a service center that might have one in stock. The part number I need is either 3024 or 3020 for the complete unit. Alternately, parts 3017 and 3018 will allow me to replace just the head on the compressor.
The problem is weak flame that only stays lit for about a minute. I get good fuel flow, and I have already replaced the main board. One of the symptoms is that even when the flame is lit, the exhaust is cold, and smells strongly of unburned diesel. I have also disassembled and clean the burner and fuel nozzle.
I will run to the auto parts store this afternoon to get a T fitting and a pressure gauge. ITR tells me that by splicing the gauge into the output side of the compressor, I will be able to make sure that it is not working properly.
I'm currently in East Texas, but I need to head north tomorrow, so I want to get the furnace working.

It's confirmed - no psi reading on output side. Just a gentle puff puff puff when disconnected. I took the compressor head apart and the input side check valve diaphragm fell out into my hand.
If you have a spare, and want to exchange for a fresh one - when they come in, Please let me know.

It's been over a year since last needing parts but I have always called them and they helped decide what the problem was and had parts on hand. They supplied the Hurricane units to CC up thru my 2001 and I think 2003. Not sure about your Lexa.
I usually called them by 7:00am their time and someone would answer. I know you are on the road but they do next day air.
BTW, I think I have about 3400+ hours on ours, love it. I always have and still do get the anit-freeze smell from the bedroom unit and have green hoses and I can not find a leak anywhere. I just put up with it.

I was able to find one on Ebay. Just queery the part number on the unit.

Hi Mike, Mine had weak output and I was able to take it apart and lube the shaft. I called ITR and they said they did not have a new compressor, but they had some rebuilt one available. Mine started working after I lubed it so I did not pursue the issue. The pump is made my Thomas and according to ITR they moved their production off shore and it would take some time before they had any new ones available. I would call ITR

The Thomas number on mine is 007CDC19-432C which I cannot find on eBay. Searching for Thomas 12 brings up 3 compressors, none of which is an exact match. Thomas only sells this part number to ITR.

Rixen's has one left, but they are not answering their phone this afternoon.

Just shy of 2900 hours. The new compressors have stainless steel check valves instead of the old rubber or plastic. Apparently the new ones last longer.

Hi Mike,

Hope this will help--I have replaced several heads on the compressor in the Hurricane in our '01 Intrigue #11238. Our compressor is Thomas model #007CDC19 and I was able to get a replacement head from Nor-Cal Controls, Inc. in San Jose, CA, phone 408-435-0400. The part # for my compressor is TP 664398.
It took me a long time to determine the reason for failure of the valve in the head. This compressor was never designed to be used in a fuel fume environment as the valves are not fuel resistant. My problem was related to a small leak in the non-diesel spec fuel pump in the Hurricane. I have just recently replaced the fuel pump with a diesel spec model and we will see what happens.
In Fall'07, I was able to get a replacement pump from Jim Rixen, who at one time was the distributor for Hurricane. He had a lot of spare parts at that time. Last # I had is: 800-925-6260. Feel free to email me.
