Tires and Alignment

There were many postings on a previous thread about Bridgestone Tires. Of particular interest was the information on tire brands, where to buy them, and alignment shops. What I noticed was that they were seldom in the same shop. It seems to me that it would be best to have the alignment done at the same time and place as the new tire installation, rather than drive from one city to another on new tires when the coach may be out of alignment. Am I being anal about that? (My tires will need replacing this year, due to age.)

I agree with your point, BUT if you can get a significantly better price for the brand you want at one shop and a more skilled alignment from another shop, it may be worth while to deal with 2 shops and the slight excessive ware on the tires. most will not ware out the tires before they age out anyway.

I have always heard that it is better to put a few miles on new tires before alignment to have the tires adapt and seat, rather than doing as soon as the tires are installed..Maybe someone will give the tech information on this..
