Chassis A/C

checking over the MH , a constant job, I changed the engine serpintine belt then put my A/C gauges on the low side of the chassis air. With engine running and A/C on Max cooling out of the ducts seemed great but the low side showed only 10#s. I assume this should be treated the same as any automotive A/C and I should look for 35#s on the low side. It's been a few years since I checked. Is anyone familiar with this? Thanks,

John Bennett

John, the low side pressure depends on the temperature of the air you are cooling. Generally speaking, if the ambient air is cool the low side pressure will be lower. Hot air results in higher pressures.
Temp of say 65F should yield a low side pressure around 25psi or so.
Temp of say 95F should yield about 35-40psi or so.

Thanks,

the temp was about 65 degrees here in Florida. I'll bring the low side up to 25 from 10.
Thanks,
