Red LED on Front Cap in Front of Entry Door 2003 Intrigue

On my still new to me O3 Intrigue, there is a red LED on the side of the front cap just in front of the entry door. Happened to see it on the other day while camping. What is is for?

Gary, if you have a key less push button door lock, the red LED will flash when the door is locked and alarm activated.

Well I do have a keyless entry system, but hadn't used it when I saw the LED on and it was not flashing -- on continuously, not sure when it went out.
