Roadside Service

I'm going to update our Roadside Service. Presently we have AAA Basic for the automobile (40 year member) and our MH insurance has roadside coverage. MH is a reimbursement, I set everything up and they cover the costs, towing etc. Free with policy. Only had to use it once (no tow) and it worked good. Got a promo from AAA for an upgrade and it showed what we had for basic coverage, it' awful, didn't realize how bad. Probably used it 5 times in 40 years, no tows. For the same price we can get both auto and MH coverage with significantly better benefits.
The two I've been evaluating is Coachnet and Good Sam. May be others. Anyone have any inputs on the aforementioned two or maybe another one I haven't evaluated.

Tnx for any inputs

I've had CoachNet since '05 when I bought my first motorhome. I've used them twice, once for a lockout while we were at the factory in Junction City and again on I-5 in So Cal when a hydraulic line broke in our slide and it extended when going down the freeway. For the lockout, a mobile key guy was there within 20 minutes (10:30 PM) and for the slide, it took about 4 hours for the guy to show up. I didn't think it unreasonable because we were on the Grapevine which is not near any towns. CN called me a couple of times to make sure I was OK. I'm happy with CoachNet. I had Good Sams for a year, but didn't ever have to use them.

I cannot say enough about Coachnet. They have helped me on several occasions. One was a ruptured hydraulic line for my slideouts - they sent someone in Seattle, a man who took initiative and was able to solve a difficult problem on site. A flat tire/blowout in Texas (middle of nowhere) they found a repair man with a new tire within 30 minutes and 2 hours later we were on our way.

Last weekend, after an airbag explosion in Rockport, ME they found a truck repair service 50 miles away who expertly repaired my coach quickly.
Good luck.

Judy,

One fact regarding CoachNet roadside service that is important to people that use a dolly for towing. The standard CoachNet service DOES NOT include service for the dolly UNLESS you upgrade to the higher service level at an additional cost of about $10. Still a bargain to my why of thinking. Had occasion to use their service for a dolly tire and was extremely satisfied with there response.

We're still in the evaluation mode. At first glance I kinda liked Good Sam. I've emailed GS but haven't had a response yet. One thing I liked about the CN website is they show the actual policy. GS left us with a few questions on specifics. Most people we're met have the CN as I remember, must be a reason.

I can't evaluate CoachNet but the one time I used Good Sam I was very pleased.
When a failed compressor stranded me in the Wyoming outback Good Sam first had me talk to a tech who determined roadside repair was not possible. After learning the only tow truck available (more than 40 miles away) was on another job, they monitored his progress and continued to update me on his ETA.
Meanwhile, I reviewed the towing procedures in my CC book. When the tow truck driver arrived I asked him to review the procedures with me. The tow procedures Good Sam provided him were the same as in the book.
