Inspire 330 Key FOB

Yahoo Message Number: 62718
Does anyone know the manufacturer for an 05 Inspire Key FOB? I have one that no longer works but the battery is good and the little red light comes on as if it is transmitting but nothing happens. My other one works very well.

Hi John:

We lost one of our fobs early on and contacted CC. Unfortunately, according to CC tech support at the time, the fobs are not available separately.
As these fobs are a transmiter and a module that generates a 12V momentary to open the door lock, most any remote system should work if you won't find replacement systems with only those components. You use new fobs and a module for the lock voltage - nothing else would need to replaced even though you probably will get new solenoids as well. There are numerous sources of remote systems including JC whitney and many, many car ccessories companies and websites. Most are less than $100 and if you don't need to replace the door solenoid is defintely a DIY project.
Our unit is located over the entry door cabinet behind a panel - it is easy to access. It should be a simple matter to replace the current unit with a new one. If your system is the same as ours, that is, the Inspire remote only opens and closes the door lock, this should work and be pretty reasonable.

My fobs did not make the transition to me. I searched on line and found a generic fob that would work. Sorry, I cannot find that address. Google should find it.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I did contact Brian at "Coach Solutions" and he advised me that it was not possible to replace a single FOB but they could do a complete install of a better unit for about $200 however as long as one of the units is working I'm better off to just make do until the whole thing gives up.
Thank you again,

John
