question regarding inspire elec reel

Yahoo Message Number: 62876
My 05 inspire had the reel emoved at some time and i purchased a new one that came today. The existing holes for the missing reel had three screws on the front and three on the back under the floor. The new reel is the same brand but has the bolt holes down eash side. Can those with an inspire look to see how theres are mounted? I have concernes with drilling new holes for fear of hitting plumbing or electrical line. I suspest the newreel is an updated model and has slightly modified mounting. If others have the bolts down both sides then I should be good Thanks all

Mine bolts to the bottom of the floor. I also see no reason why it couldn't be bolted to the aft bulkhead to that compartment. You should be able to see if there is any plumbing or wiring in the way.

My reel is mounted to the overhead (house floor) using four screws.

There seems to be a lot of ways CC attached the reel to the coach. On our 2006 Inspire DaVinci the reel is attached to the storage compartment ceiling with six screws/bolts. Suggest you or your tech carefully drill pilot holes to see what is behind the panel prior to attaching the reel.
If you live near Junction City Or, there are a lot of people still in the area that worked for CC and know where the wiring and pipes are located and would be happy to install the reel for a price.
Whatever you do to attach the reel will be worth the effort. Our previous coach didn't have a reel so I know that the reel is much better than coiling a muddy 50 amp cord on on a cold day and then trying to find a place to store it.
