Hi Bill,

Our 07 Allure came with the TV in the bay. It has a separate cable that is split off of the Living Room Satellite box. Based on my experience at home and other places you would need a separate cable. There is a small chance that the cable outlet in the bay is run through your AV Receiver. If that is the case you might be able to watch satellite TV on your bay TV though the AV Receiver. (set AV receiver in living room to Satellite input)

Bill Typically CC only ran the Satellite signal from the dish to the TV's. The satellite signal should not be put through a splitter. You have a push button set-up where you push the button for cable or the button for antenna. This supplies cable or antenna to all the TV's. There fore, there is a splitter from each of the cable or antenna outputs ( from the push button selector ) that sends the signal to each TV . That's why you can only have Cable or Antenna at any one time in the coach. One possibility, is to get a Sat signal( this would be a coax output of the back of your sat receiver , which should be close by ) to the area behind the push button switch . Then you find which of the splitters is the cable one, and the isolate the one running to the TV in the basement, and couple it to the sat wire. You would not then have cable in the basement, but usually , if you have satellite, you don't use cable very much ( at least we don't ). You would then have whatever channel is on your sat receiver in the coach. My coach has a universal remote sensor in the basement bay and I have mine connected to the satellite receiver, so I can change channels outside . Hope this helps

Hi Bill, if your selector box has more than 3 inputs, then there should be a satellite in put, and this should let you get tv in the bay via satellite. Usually, either the back tv, or the front tv, and the bay are tied together. If you only have 3 imputs, then you must turn off the satellite to get tv via cable or ant. in the bay. If you have HD, your receiver may not have a coaxial output unless you have a modulator installed. Feel free to call me from your RV, and let me know what selector box you have, I may be able to help you with what you want.

Thanks for your replys. Myset up must be similar to yours.I have a RTI controller that works the tvs in the bedroom and front room and it does have a spot for the basement. I will work with it and if no luck will have it checked next time im down in Junction City..
I had hooked up a third direct tv box in the basement assuming that at the sat was hooked up to everything. It failed to get a signal. Just getting ready for football. thanks again Bill

Where you located, may be near you. To hook up another rec, in bay would take some special connections, but can be done. Usually, the front tv, and the bay are on same inputs, or could be same as the rear tv. I move around lots, and may be close, you never know. Full time, and RV Sat. TV is my only business

Bill,

I recently added a TV to the basement with one coax cable that carries both the DirecTV and antenna/cable signal.
The coax from the satellite and coax from antenna/cable are combined in the coach with this:
http://www.summitsource.com/product_info.phpcPath=6_52_53&products_id=10062
Then they are split in the basement with this:
http://www.summitsource.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_52_53&products_id=10059
This setup is assuming you have a spare coax feed from the satellite dish or spare feed from some type some type of DirecTV multiswitch. My Winegard Travler HD dish supports (4) DirecTV receivers at once. So I have the capabilites to have a receiver in the living room, bedroom and basement with a spare cable for another receiver.
Also, note that the DirecTV B-Band converter module must be placed before the combiner inside the coach. If you place it in the basement after the splitter, it won't work.
