Safety?

What is the safest way to get under our coach?
I want to adjust the Koni Shocks, check the ride height and adjust if necessary. And I don't want 12,00 lbs. to come down on me if I do something dumb.

Put a set of heavy duty Jack stands on/under the frame under the coach. I have always used jack stands under any vehicle I have crawled under

Start with a 2X6 cut to length, about 2' or so. Stack two, then four up to the height you want. lay the short stack in front of tire with the next stack in front of the first. Do same for both sides. Drive up on the boards. This is the safest way I have found for the weight of the coaches. I use about 3 sets per side to get the height I like under the coach. Try to drive up on to much at once and the boards can kick up and damage the underside of the coach. Yep! Learned the hard way. Use deck screws to hold the stacks together. When I'm done, I though them in the hard to get to bays under the slide out and carry with me.

Both solutions are good, I do both. Built some ramps, about 6 to 8 inches high under ALL 6 wheels. Then I put hydraulic jacks (20 ton) under the front axles. Wanted to make sure I had space under the coach with all of the air out. Liked the ramps because then I could work on the air system and change the coach height as required. Put jacks under the front axle in the unlikely case that a tire blew. You might want to chock the wheel, I didn't. Emergency brake is on when the air system is off/out.
