Paint Scratches & Aqua Hot electric heater

On a recent trip I ran next to some trees that left some scratches (not throught the paint). I'm looking for some advice on a polish and technique to remove them.
The electric hot water heater for the Aqua Hot also stopped heating. The circuit breaker and the indicator on the Aqua Hot panel appear normal. The diesel heater worked fine. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

The Yahoo groups has a group that deals with Hydronic Heat only. Check out the files and posts there is a lot of info. go to find groups and type "hydronic heat"

Many products, from 3M to Griots to Zaino. On medium to mild paint scratches, I've had good luck with the 3M products.
If it is not too long, you can usually get by with hand buffing. If they run over much of the surface, might be worth renting a good orbital buffer.
Either way, start with say the medium grit, use a circular technique. Light to medium pressure is all that is needed - let the compound do the work. You are actually wearing down the clear coat, to remove the scratches. At the end, when you feel 95% + of the scratches are out. Go back over the area a final time with a straight verticle motion. This helps with the optics of the view of the paint. The verticle leaves buffing that is not as noticed as much. Same thing on top sides, go from front to back, on the final polish.
Then use the final fine finish grit and go over it one more time, to cut the deeper buffing marks of the medium grit. Clean the area good, and use your wax of choice. (I like Zaino for this, as the ZCS product is 'Wax On - No Wax Off' Just wipe it on and walk away.) I've also just did a quater section of our rig with Eagle One Nano stuff. Went on easy, and then just wipe buffed off as you go. (Do not know how well the Nano will last, as it just went on about 6 weeks ago.)

Maguire's Scratch X has worked well from me. I also use an inexpensive buffer on slow speed. Works better in light colors than dark colors.
