Has anyone adjusted the ride height/leveling valves themselves? What was the procedure you used to do it safely?

Hi Jim,

Consider downloading the ops and repair manuals from hwh.com for the leveling system and if you still with questions, HWH has a 800 number.

Raise the axle height by driving up on solid supports so that if the air bags deflate you won't be crushed. It doesn't take much height. I have backed over a small ditch to adjust the rear valves. Call CC and get the latest height measurement. They keep changing their specs.
You have to keep going back and forth to get the rear set right. One side effects the other. There is also a adjustment lag and you have to raise and lower the bags to get it right. jerry in NM, '00 Magna.

Jim Hughes,

Go to message #2868 and see if that explains it well enough.
Pretty easy to do--more difficult to write out. Research your owners manual as mine did explain the concept.

Hope this is helpful

I have a 97 Magna and have just put new tires on it( the old ones had 6 Years on them). The Old ones were 295-75R-22.5, which was an up size by the original owner. I have replaced them with the spec tires 275-70R- 22.5, which has made me question the ride height on the coach. I am taking it to a local shop tomorrow but they do not have the specs. I was hoping someone here had recently checked or adjusted the ride height and had the spec in their possession. I have a 97 Magna(Fanfare) on a Gillig chassis and would appreciate any assistance. I will also call CCI in the morning but was not sure how long the process would take. I can provide a Fax number if needed.
