Door handle light or light bulb

I need a door handle light assembly or bulb. The handle is ok. Is this a locally available item?

I just replaced my LED light assembly in my handle with a LED light prewired with a resistor and wires to crimp directly to the existing 12 volt wires. Required 10 minutes of removing the old light from the socket and drilling a hole through the center of the old socket to feed the LED light into. Now I have a 10,000hr bright 12 volt LED light and it looks great.
All I needed was a solder gun, very small phillips screw driver, 1/4 inch drill bit and a rubber groomet to go in the 1/4 inch hole with the LED through the center. Then I soldered and heat shrunk the leads to the old ends of the existing connectors and attached them to the Coach wiwires and screwed the handle back on.
If you can't find a fix let me know. I will send you one of my LED's for free since I had to order about 100 of them to get a quantity discount. I use them on my 6 foot model RC tug boats running 12 volt deep cell batteries.
Worst case, just send me your existing light (take off the handle and the light socket will just come right off the top of the light bar) and I will make the modification for you and send it back. No charge.

I have the same problem that Lowell has in that my bulb has burned out on the handle. I have a 2002 CC Allure and I have taken out the light bulb assembly and it has a 6" lead with the bulb soldered into a circuit board with a resister already there. Would it be possible for me to send you the assembly and have you install the LED bulb for me? Since retiring and now living in a much smaller place I no longer can do this sort of thing. Let me know if this will work for you and I am more than willing to pay you for your time and effort to replace the bulb. Please allow me to pay you for the work and let me know how to send this to you.
