3 Questions About ABS Blink Codes

Yahoo Message Number: 64349
After we had some work done on our coach and were down the road, the odometer started indicating "ABS 273". The blink code from the controller was 43. Blink code 43 indicated a right rear drive wheel sensor was the problem. The wiring to the sensor was dragging on the ground and worn through. After reconnecting the wires, the blink code cleared, but the odometer error remained for several miles. This leaves me with three questions:

1) Why is the blink code different from the odometer error message?
2) Is there any reference info available to relate the odometer error code to the actual problem?
3) Why didn't the odometer error clear when the ABS controller did?

There was a recall and fix on the 2000 affinity ABS system around 2001. Another switch was added in your service bay under the drivers seat and should be marked ABS. When the recall was done on our coach..I remember the tech saying the switch needed to be turned on and off 3 times while the coach was running. This was to clear out the codes. I never had any problem with the ABS and never had to do the reset.
Do you have the small round odometer message center on your dash? This message center would display "check air filter" when the outside temp was damp and cold. After many calls and research no one could explain why that displayed. There is a ABS log on that display also. Perhaps the codes could be deleted there.
Another clear method could be obtained by turning off all power to coach chassis for a couple of minutes? AL
