Coolant System flush with Hurricane Heater

I know that many of you have done your own coolant flush, I have a question about how you handled the coolant in the hoses/heat exchangers for the Hurricane Hydronic heating system. Should that be isolated during the engine flush phase when using the Sodium carbonate flushing solution, if you do isolate it do you just using a hose to flush out the heater hoses and heating system? I've asked several Cummins dealers about this and they all act puzzled, they say we just flush the system and take no special precautions with the heater system. Is that the right thing to do, not sure if I want the sodium carbonate in the hydronic coolant pump.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has handled this.

Thanks

Ray,

I just flushed the entire system as is. This was done a couple of years ago and so far, no ill effects.
You could disconnect the hydronics but that would sure make a mess and add to the time required.
