Hurricane recall

Yahoo Message Number: 4739
I just got my mail and there was a recall letter in it for the Hurricane system. Has anybody checked to see what the problem is and more importantly, what the fix is? The letter says I am supposed to turn the system off and take cold showers until I get the next letter from them. I DON'T THINK SO!!!

You don't need your Hurricane heating system to heat your water. You can use electric or propane. The hazard with the defect is that the Hurricane system overheats and catches on fire. You should follow the recall letter and turn the system off until the recal service work is performed (being done on my coach as I type this note)

Ree, you can operate the electric hot water element in your Hurricane, but there is a potential for a fire if you operate the deisel burner. I suggest you turn it off with the bottom switch on the flat control panel on the forwartd wall of the Hurricane compartment.
