Los Angeles or Southern California RV Parks

Yahoo Message Number: 64827
My wife and I are spending this year's Christmas Holidays in southern California visiting children and grandchildren. After having been burned so many times with RV parks that looked great on the Web, this time, we're looking/hoping for any recommendations any of you may have for a really nice RV Park or Resort in or around the Los Angeles/Anaheim area.

Many thanks,

Brett

HI BRETT

I live in Anaheim I have stayed at http://www.newportdunes.com/Rates.html this place is a zoo during the summer but it might be nice during the winter months the super sights are nice but the others are barley big enough to get a 40 footer into. the RV places around Disney are packed, if you find a place you are interested in let me know and if its not to far I can drive by for you

Brett,

We have stayed at the Orangeland RV Park on Orange Ca for a week the past two winters. It can be pricey depending on the site but is well kept and safe. We will be spending another week there this winter while we visit family.

This site is probably too far north for you but Lake Casitas Recreational Area near Ojai is a beautiful place (The site that water races were held for the LA summer Olympics). If you are interested I can give more details Fritz 1998 Allure 30223

There are two pretty nice RV parks (well kept, good facilities, easy freeway access) in the Pomona - San Dimas area. We spent 10 days at the Fairplex KOA park in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. Spaces are a bits narrow but there were lots of shade trees, good places to walk our dogs right in the park and easy access to multiple freeways for LA/Orange County exploring. I'm normally not much of a KOA fan but this park is very well kept and convenient.
The other is the Eastshore RV park in San Dimas . It is actually a County park but has nice facilities, full hookups, some sites with terrific views and mostly larger sites. It has a long driveway in but is very nice once your are parked. It gets pretty heavy use (and parts can be noisy) during big holiday weekends. Otherwise it is pretty serene.
