Thank You, Country Coach

Our first day in Florida and we found out that the dash air conditioning was not working on our '01 Intrigue, and the chassis warranty expires next month. Called Lazy Days to get an appointment and they told us it would be at least five weeks before they could get to us, after the warranty expired. Their alternative was a "small mom and pop facility that might get to us but they did not do any warranty work." Go figure.
Thank goodness I had retained Tim Reeds number from our trip out here last year, when he had saved our trip with leveler repairs. Called him and the response was " If you can get in here early in the morning we should get you out before noon - I think I know what the problem is from your description."
He was right. Replaced a fractured fitting caused by the hose being too tight going to the compressor, evacuated the system, replaced the dryer and the freon, and was out by noon. Another reminder of why I am glad I bought Country Coach two years ago instead of the Fleetwood explorer we were looking at. Our sincere thanks to Tim and to you and the company for maintaining his presence there on the east coast suppporting Country Coach customers.
FOR CC OWNERS -Reportedly there was "something" out in the past calling attention to the fact that the two hoses to the compressor in the engine compartment shoud have some slack in them to allow the enging viabrition not to cause undue stress on the fitting between the hose and the compressor. These hoses go from the compressor and are held up with brackets at the top of the engine compartment. The hoses should have enough slack between the bracket and the compressor to allow the engine viabration not to put undue stress on the hose fittings - You may want to check your engine compartment to make sure this has been done.
