Hydro Hot System 2007 Allure 470

Hoping somebody out there can assist me re: why my Hydro Hot isn't working (consistently?).
I have reset the system through the toggle button inside my coach (2007 allure 470). Also, turned the thermostat on/off and set heat to 70 degrees. The system was working for a while but only heats the coach to 62 degrees. The hydro hot "green" toggle button goes out after a few seconds now when I try resetting. Don't know why it would work a little bit and then nothing? The panel in the bay indicates 'all green" except for the exchangers of course because they're not running. However, they're not "red" indicating a fault of any kind. The cap is somewhat hot still from running earlier today. The reservoir is filled properly. Would a faulty thermostat(contol panel) affect the hydro hot button from working properly?
Also, coincidentally my water pump is not working either because of a short in the system or recent freeze damage. I didn't think my domestic water had anything to do with the hydro hot system?
Wow, sorry about all the random information but I'm trying to give you all my thoughts.

Have you checked the coolant level in the tank (not just the overflow bottle)?
The switch going off -- assuming you are referring to the diesel switch -- can occur if the diesel fails to light. This can be due to a number of reasons including photo-sensor, fuel filter, nozzle, etc.

There are two ways to heat the coolant in your HydroHot heater. There is an electric element and the diesel burner. They operate independently of each other but can be both on at the same time. Usually there is a green lighted switch for each. Do you have both the electric and the diesel switches on?
The electric element can only supply enough heat for low demand usage as in marginal temp and not a lot of hot water demand. Somewhere around the mid 40s it will become necessary to add the diesel.
The green light in the diesel switch is more that just an on/off indicator. It is driven by the startup control logic of the HydroHot start sequence. If the flame sensor in the burn chamber does not see flame within a few seconds of when you turn on the switch and the unit is calling for heat it will turn off the green light as an indicator that the diesel burner failed to light. If that is the case then there are many possible causes. I suggest that you find and join the Yahoo HydronicRVHeat Group. The owner is a registered AquaHot tech and very helpful walking coach owners through troubleshooting procedures. His name is Roger Berke.
BTW the reservoir tank is nor necessarily an indicator that the coolant level inside the coolant tank is ok. Remove the radiator cap on the top of the unit (make sure the unit is cool) and check the level. It should be full to the top. If not add a 50/50 mixture of Camco -100 boiler antifreeze and distilled water. In emergencies there is no problem adding just distilled water and have the concentration checked later.

Thank you both for responding re: the level inside the coolant tank. I'm hoping that's the case. It was too hot to remove earlier (as I said, it ran for a while and then stopped). I would think I'd get an indication on the control panel (red light?). However, I think your comment about the sensor not finding the flame is why the light is going off. I will check both these options tomorrow. thanks again

A friend driving an Allegro Bus encountered a similar problem. His board indicated a fault due to low anti-freeze however the overflow tank showed it to be full. He talked with Hydro-Hot and they told him to jumper across a couple of pins on the board until he could get a new board. Although your problem is not the same, it could be the board that is not working. Additionally, I have an '07 Allure 470, 42' and sometimes my thermostat does not respond properly. I reset it by pulling out the 7.5a fuse in the cabinet underneath the cabinet with the thermostat. When I re-insert the fuse, the thermostat has been reset and will respond. R0938@....
