Generator Muffler & Windshield wiper problems

Have just returned to owners group after logging in last summer before trip to Alaska. Have just had a couple of new problems develop and would like to know if anyone else has experienced either of them. By the way, I have a 2000 Allure, 40', LaPine., single slide.
Problem #1. The muffler just came off of my Power Tech Generator. It is still connected to the tailpipe. Does anyone know how it was connected to the generator and is there a strap hanger holding it up? It appears that mine did not have any type of support by the muffler.
Problem #2. Passenger side windshield wiper stopped working in "slow" and "intermintent" modes. High speed works just fine. Driver side unit is also working fine.
