TV in Bay

Anyone have any suggestions on how to mount a flat panel TV in one of the bays for watching out side.

I just added a photo named "Basement TV on a Slide". I just used a 2x4, paint, and some hardware with an articulated mount. The mount will hold up to a 37" TV although I now only use a 23". Total cost about $30.

That should be much less challenging with the present thin and lightweight, particularly the LED edge lit units. You can google something like "flat screen mounts' and come up with literally hundreds of options.
If I were doing this, I would want a mount that would allow for the flat screen to rotate internally against either the front or rear bulkhead of the compartment. Doubt if you'll find a commercially produced mount that allows this. In this position it could be latched in place to prevent movement when traveling. Another option, but one with possible issues, would be to have it swing in and up flat against the top of the compartment. If you have a slide in the bay, this would allow storage still. When wanting the tv in use, simply slide the slide out on the opposite side, drop the tv into place and return the slide to its normal position.
A solid mount could be fabbed that positions the TV in a stationary attitude and accommodate a more standard wall mount. This would negate access to storage from that side at least.

We mounted a 22" Vizio on our 98 Intrigue. See Message 62338 and Pictures by skpjose, "TV Mounted in Bay", Aug 11, 2010. Made it so it swings up and locks during travel and down when parked, Can shut bay door when parked. Need more info, e mail me. Mount was "inexpensive", made it myself.
