Sony VCR model SLV 775HF remote needed

Merry Christmas group. I thought since many members have upgraded their VCR's there might be a chance that someone has a remote they don't need any longer. Sony does not have any since the model SLV 775HF is so old. My unit is built in so well and is working fine so I hate to replace it with a newer sleeker unit, even though they are so inexpensive right now. Without a remote I cannot set any functions. H0w about a universal remote? Can't get a 'learning remote', as you don't have the stock one to learn from. Bet Harmony would have one, just be sure to pre check your unit is covered.
Or, one other chance for you to check. Some TV remotes, have the ability to run VCR's too. Might get lucky and see if your existing TV remote covers your Sony unit.

I might have one that I replaced the vcr with a combo unit. The Coach is in storage about 30 miles from here but I will be going there in about a week to start and drive it a little. If you find one before then let me know.

Friend go to Wallmart or Radio Shack and purchase a Universal remote save the recpt. give it a try. I did works well. Ken 99 Allure 30356

A good one like I have is a coded remote like my RCA. I use it and works well. You may have to try other RCA type remotes. Good Luck Ken. Allure 30356
