Inspire front ride height valve

For the second time we have had to do major welding work on our front suspension ~ each time with the loss of some or part of the ride height valve or its linkage.
I got to thinking that this valve will maintain a constant ride height at the front of the coach for all loading conditions; however after experiencing severe lunging on our wonderful road surfaces I thought that there was no way that this system can be expected to compensate while driving - there simply isn't any way enough air can enter or leave the system while the suspension is travelling from maximum height to minimum in less than one second. So for the second time we have crawled underneath and manually set the valve and the ride height to the correct level and I'm now thinking that I should remove the valve from its difficult location, scrap the linkage to the anti-sway bar and reposition the valve where I can adjust it with ease and at the beginning of any journey when loading conditions demand it.
We're still beefing up the sway bar brackets underneath and wondering if I am missing the obvious or do any members have any comments?

Have you checked the weight on the front axle? Sounds like you might be overloaded which is why you keep breaking the front end.

I have experienced some of the same issues. I was bottoming out on moderate to heavy dips and broke one of the clamps that holds the sway bar. I replaced the clamp with a kit from Holland Neway. However, I kept bottoming out and tried new Koni FSD shocks which at first I thought helped but then it happened again. From other posts I read Bob Handren's recommendation to raise the ride height about a ¼" to ½" which dramaticly improved the ride but on a very hard bounce I broke another clamp on the sway bar and when I took it to a repair facility in Kent, Wa. They added additional support to the mounding area for the clamps on each side and I have had no further problems.
Currently on a sail boat in Mexico so I can't send pictures.

Setting shocks to firmest setting will help. As has been discussed and proven numerous times on this list seting the ride up a bit solves the problem.
Start with the factory setting (something like 17 3/4" shock mounting bolt to shock mounting bolt), add 1/4" height until botoming stops.

Then enjoy the coach.

This has been done by dozens of Inspire owners including us. It works.
