Today Donna Hoadly (CCI Presidents wife) and Gerry Conway a CCI board member arrived at the club office with a letter from an attourney and terminate both Sherry Fanning and Leslie May. Sherry and Leslie regret that they did not have a chance to communicate their love of the Country Coach family. The office in Junction City is being closed. This is a move that we expected the east coast group to make and they lived down to our expectiations. Lets hope in the near future we will again have a CC group that will be able to unite the Country Coachers that want to move in a poitive direction. Please keep Sherry and Leslie in your thought a prayers. Jerry O #60473

I thought we had decided not to muck up this group with CCI issues but since Jerry choose to post this comment I must express my views.
It is a sad day for Sherry and Leslie and the club, too, but in my opinion it would have been a sadder day in the not too distant future when there was no more CCI.
Some people are trying to split the club and its not the current board. So keep in mind that all this "East Coast" talk is just that its talk. This was not a "East Coast" decision this was a financial one. This club could not support an office even on the increased dues. When the finances were examined at the Myrtle Beach rally it was determined that there was no way for the club to survive with the current expenses (dues increase or not).
There were a lot of decision that had to be made and preparations to be made before action could be taken. I, for one, thank the board taking steps to save our club.

I will be very brief in my response -- Jerry's post was not muck, just the facts and information for those on this Board who do not follow the Country Coach Club Board. Sometimes the truth hurts. Thanks for the info Jerry.

This topic is of interest to everyone who owns a Country Coach RV so I think it is appropriate that it be posted here. If the club is to survive, all these issues should be made public to all owners of a Country Coach RV, the existing membership is probably not strong enough to provide the needed support. What better way is there than to try to reach out to non-members than on this list? I believe this is a great place to try and reach out and possibly create a new CC Club with more solid support and also more accountability on the part of the officers of the club. Appears that expenses had gotten way out of hand with most of the membership's income going to support the pay of two employees at the club office. This obviously could not continue and it appears that the so called "East Coast" group has take the 1st step towards trying to save the club. I am also saddened by the necessity of terminating a very capable person at the club office, but what is the alternative. Is it really in the best interests of the membership to have their entire dues going to pay the salaries of two folks leaving no money for support of the club activities?
I don't mean this to demean anyone in the group but it is an opinion formed on the basis of the the limited information which has been made available.

Here's one Country Coacher's opinion. We dropped CCI a bunch of years ago, personal not political reasons. Thought about joining again, just didn't get around to it. I don't mind seeing some CCI news on this Group's discussion. Agree with the person who said it may bring in new members. If ya decide not to, no "bigee"!!

CCI is dead. There may be a few who will join, since there is a new hierarchy, however, there are a bunch of us who won't be renewing due to the way the "take over" was handled. We had an excellent board of individuals trying their best to make it work. Now we don't. The people coming in the front door won't offset those going out the back. Those that think there was some funny money business going on just don't know the past board. I can assure you they don't need any nickels and dimes from an RV club. The really sad part is that Sherry and Leslie got caught in the middle. They are two very dedicated individuals and real assets for the club.

As this Country Coach Owners forum moderator, I would like to remind everyone that the Country Coach CLUB Yahoo forum is open to the public for viewing all messages posted (unlike this forum). You don't need to join the club to view their messages.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/countrycoachclub/
Please use their forum to easily stay up to date with the discussion about the CCI Club. If you are a member, you can post your comments over there. If you want to comment on their activities and are not a member, then join the group and take an active role in the CCI Club to make the changes you want -- or ask a member to post a comment for you like Gerry (CCI Club Officer) apparently does on behalf of Jack Hoadley (CCI Club President), who does not post from his virtual office. Jack can be reached at 617-694-4918 (per his posting) on their forum.
Based upon many comments I have personally received, I believe the decision that was made months ago, when this "East/West" club issue came to a head, to NOT post CCI questions and discussions on this CCO forum is a good one. It also consolidates items and issues about the club into THEIR forum.
I monitor the Country Coach Club forum, and will post a notice here when a significant posting happens on their forum -- unfortunately JerryO beat me to it this time. Each notice will contain a link to their forum.

Fellow CC owners, please keep in mind that this is the only means of communications between owners/club members. There is not anyone to monitor or authorize new members on the CCI Yahoo group. Jerry O #60473
