Condition of Oregon Highways

Yahoo Message Number: 68001
We are planning a trip south on west coast and would like to know the condition of two highways from I5 to 101. We will be taking either Hwy.38 from Curtin, Or. to Reedsport, Or. or Hwy 199 from Grants Pass, Or. to Crecent City, Calif.,and then south along 101. Driving a 42' with toad. Thanks for any info.

Traveling from Grants Pass to C/C you nee to advise the truckers on channel 19 when you pass through the tunnel on Oregon Mt. that you are coming through with a 42' and tow. My son is a 18 wheel truck driver. The road is very windy but beautiful. Beware!! Vic

We drive 38 a lot and it is a very good road. Lots of passing lanes. Some nice things on the coast along this route. The Oregon Dunes for one. An animal park farther south, nice light house to visit, if open. Lots of very nice country.

You can access the Oregon Road Conditions at 800-977-6368 if you want to know current weather conditions.

And you can go to tripcheck.com and see road cameras throughout the state plus road/weather/road condition alerts, if there are any current.
