1999 Allure 25th Ann. 7kw Power Tech fuel lines.

Fellow 1999 Owners. Got around changing fuel supply and return lines for the Powertech. Called Powertech and orderd a new hourmeter around 30$ plus shipping. They have a nice updated website also and very Friendly folks. Working for Cat in Tampa a few years ago I worked on some Cat/Powertech RV Gensets with Perkins/Cat diesel engines. My Model on the Allure is CD 7000 and S/N is CA94348E The E is for brushless exciter which is good as no problems with brush wear and cleaning. I ran by fuel lines and their tech and I agreed to use NAPA Barricade type lines with ULSD thanks to a fellow CC Owner for posting. Both lines are six feet in length but the NAPA 3/8 line is to big so use 3/16 for supply and they will sell you a onesize under the 3/16 for the smaller return line. I removed the door and roof off the Genset to acess and Inspect all hoses and rolled on a new fan drive belt also. Removed both lines off the engine, Next loosend the propane tanks BTW is Full of Propane not smart. Turned off and removed gas line to rig. The tank can be moved around to acess lines on top of fuel tank. Using a Box cutter knife cut off the old fuel lines and took them to NAPA for match, Remember CC Uses a Gates supply line marked 3/8 inch but NAPA has to give you a 3/16 inch. Using white spray greese spray tank fittings and a little in the hose to allow easy slip on the fittings. I used a vise grip on the hose to allow easy reach slipping lines on the fittings. Being an old Tech a trick of the trade! I also put on the old CC Sheathing on the lines. Going back to the Genset side removing one hose guide clamp at the rear of genset on Side wall, Then Using one old fuel line I snaked it through the top Hose mounting clamp to the other sude of the rig. Again moving the propane tank a little back and forth taped the loose ends of the new lines together then pulled the lines through the top line holding clamp to the genset, Piece of cake! I blew into each line and blew air and felt bubbling in the full fuel tank on both supply and return lines BTW. Connected the larger line to supply at the 12vdc pump and return to genset return fuel fitting, installed new hose clamps also. Primmed the genset for 15 seconds and engine lit off wit no stumble. Re mounted the propane tank and connected the gas line and sprayed soap to check fo leaking propane gas. All is well then re-installed the Lower hose mounting clamp with the self tapping 3/8 head screw. There is a small rubber line from the return fuel tubig at the Rear fuel injecter to the Return line fitting mounted on the rear cover and will replace with proper line as its hardend with age. May call power tech on this as its a Kobota Part. Both fuel lines are a little over 3$ each. The old lines are mostly cracked/rotted at the genset end. Hope I did not bore everyone.
