Water bypass switch

I have a two position switch in the plumbing bay that reads "water pump" and "bypass" When connected to park water should I be in the bypass position? I have not done this and am wondering if the oark water is going thru the holding tank first. My manual makes no reference to it. Anyone have the same switch?

John, On my Inspire, that switch by-passes the waterpump when filling the tank from city water. (when in "by-pass" position.) You should put it in "waterpump" position when you are pumping liquid into the holding tank, eg; clorox, etc.
If you don't place it in by-pass when filling the tank from a pressure city water supply, you will hear the pump running at a rapid rate as the incoming water cycles it.
Finally, it doesn't seem to matter where the switch is when using park water, and it is not going through your tank when the handles are all positioned properly, with the ends on the asterisks(*).
