2 Questions

Today, when going through the systems on the newly purchased coach, I found a copper piece that has a small open ring(about 2") at one end and a slightly larger(6") open ring on the other; it was hooked over my propane tank and I have no idea what it's used for?
#2: in the water system bay there is an electrical connection to a copper probe (obviously a temp probe) just sitting in there on the left side by the water pump. Any input on what this is for or where it should go? And if my pump doesn't prime (and therefor) no water pressure, is this a repairable item; can it be rebuilt? if not, what water pump is the preferred replacement?

Thanks again,

Question #2: The probe is for the Hydro, or Aqua hot heating system so the fresh and waste water

tanks, plumbing pipes, water pump and filter won't freeze up in cold weather. But you do have to make

sure the diesel switch on the heating control panel is on. There is also a variable control down there to

adjust the temp for activation. I set mine to 40 degrees by placing ice in a glass of water and inserting

the probe with a thermometer into the water in the glass. You may have to fill your water system with

city water including making sure all the faucets and shower flow correctly first and that your fresh water

tank is full. Sometimes if I don't do those steps the water pump vapor locks. Its easy to tell as the

motor runs a high RPM and sounds like a Formula one racer turning 10,000 rpm way off in the distance.

I don't have an answer for the two rings, my propane chevy van had no such item an neither does this

coach.
