Yes it does. Even works with a Mac. It would be between this and one of the truck/rv models from Garmin. Have two Garmins and use to using them. Would be interested in someone having a hands on report. Of course, that has to wait for a couple of months. They have to come up with a better mount then windshield for RV use.

Yeah, the data readouts are especially interesting. I would want to know who provided the maps and traffic data. I would also want a mapset that could be installed on my computer so I could plan trips on the computer and upload them to the device.

Agree on the computer mapset. Why I like Garmin. They are very strong with the Mac support and one can do it all.

I understand that to be simple software updates. Do not see anything about running the software on the computer. Did I miss it? It mentions using there printed maps to go along with its use. Does have lots of bells.

10 or 15 years ago Rand McNally had the best trip planing software out there (IMHO), then it disappeared. If it were to become available again I would drop MS Streets in a flash.
I don't care about the stand alone device just PC software with GPS.

I have enjoyed Delorme for PC for years. I also have one of their fine hand held devices, Garmin on my dashboard Kenwood Audio Visual and rear view, and a standalone Garmin for the toad. One would think I was afraid of getting lost. ;*). Oh, I forgot - also have a GPS on my Android.
I use the PC Delorme for initial trip planning, then go to the dashboard unit , and confirm they are on the same route.

I don't think you missed it, Leonard. It is not there, so there is no assurance that mapping software is installed on your computer so you can plan trips and upload to the device, an essential feature in my opinion.

Are you saying that you can plan your route on a Mac, and then transfer the route to the Garmin?
On my PC, I can plan my route in Streets & Trips, but I can only transfer the locations, not the route.

Keep looking under the Mac page. Trip something and trail something are the main programs. Can't remember, not at my Mac. Lots of support packages like mapsource.
