All,

Became aware of serious issues with the above only yesterday. I welcome any input you have to share regarding years of install, etc. Still in the market for a CC and trying to refine my search.
Thanks in advance,

Reese

There were a number of lawsuits filed against CC concerning the radiator problems. Many were settled in owners' favor. I owned a 2004 42' Intrigue TS with a CAT C-12 engine. Our aluminum radiator failed the third year of ownership (the coach spent 54 weeks out of the first 34 months in the repair shop) and the transmission fluid mixed with the radiator antifreeze, requiring not only a new radiator, but the transmission had to be rebuilt.
CC only covered the radiator replacement, which took 10 weeks to get. I had to cover the transmission rebuild and the labor to remove and reinstall the radiator - cost, about $7,600. Many owners in this forum have expressed similar problems. Good luck on your research.

Reese, I replaced my aluminum radiator with a copper radiator ($7000 installed) last fall in our 2006 Inspire 360 with CAT 400 engine with 19k miles. We would sell you our Country Coach which we ordered new ourselves for $154k. Call me at 605-838-8312. Kindest regards, Gary

The radiator was an issue but if you are talking about a coach that is 4 or 5 years old it is likely that the radiator has been replaced. On my 06 the factory replaced the radiator in o7 or 08.

Last year I bought an 04 Intrigue with a 505 Cat. The repair guys I use, Rincon Truck in San Clemente, CA, indicated that the problem was not the aluminum radiator itself, but the way it is rigidly mounted with "all thread". There is a kit available which includes some nuts and rubber grommets which somewhat isolate the radiator so that it is allowed to flex enough that it does not fracture. The original radiator is still installed and the cost for the kid is a pittance. Wish me luck!

We appreciate the responses regarding the above issue. Attempting to be an informed consumer before purchasing a coach. Researching the 06-08 Magnas for purchase consideration. This issue causes one to reconsider purchasing this brand and model.
Sincerely,

Reese

Reese, FYI Monaco also used the same aluminum radiator built by Radiator Specialties in some of their 04-07 coaches. My 05 Scepter had one.

Friend working for Cat their Radiators always have vertical tubes, Learnd this from heavy duty earth moving. I hear the CC Radiators are Horazontal tubing, The length on this Appl. would cause sagging. Sad you newer endusers are plaged with this on newer Coach's. I read and not in favor of the Sauor Danfoss controller. I know Cat Ecm's have a feature on Fan control's and some coachs have both types. If I were field starting Cats for CC I would bring this issue to our Engr. dept as I waould approve the engines for Cat Warranty Approvel. I enjoy reading engine related posts from all of you. If I were still a Tech I would have resource of Engr. Staff. Ken 99 Allure 30356

Dale,

Do you have any details on the kit you mentioned. I have the 505 CAT as well in the a 2004 Intrigue. I have not had any problems yet but if there is anything I can do to mitigate any i am all for looking into it.
