Dash heater circulation pump question 02 Magna

Yahoo Message Number: 72839
I have an overload on a fuse for 2 wires 134 on my front run board. These are for the heater circulation pump and it is drawing 30 amps on a 20 amp circuit. I know this has been discussed by this group. I do not believe it is either of the 2 hurricane pumps since those are working fine even with that fuse out. I have been told that I may have a third pump that circulates the coolant to the dash heater. I think I may have located it on the passengers side attached to the frame near the generator. It appears to have a motor and has what look like two coolant hoses coming off the top but I am not sure what it is. It is entirely different than the March mfg. hurricane circulation pumps. I have posted a picture under the photo section entitled "dash heat circulation pump". Can anyone tell me if this is it and who makes it?

I'm going through the same issue, but my pump is leaking. I ordered one from here: http://www.apartswarehouse.com/ShowProduct.aspx?ID=508 and as soon as I get back home, I am going to change it out. My pump is located back by the engine on driver's side. I think the second hose is routed thru a seperate Hurricane heat exchanger to provide furnace/house heat when on the road. Of course the other hose is for the dash heater. The pump is mounted in such a way that if it leaks, it will contaminate the electric motor.

Rich,

On my 01 Magna, CC's brain trust also attached the mirror heat to the same breaker, so the 2 circulation pumps and mirror heat were working anytime the key is on. I pulled the fuse and didn't get a chance to install a switch before I sold it to Jerry. Check your wire numbers and you may find the same setup with yours.

Didn't make a lot of sense having mirror heat and coolant pumps running in 90 degree weather.

Try MP Pump part #29924.

Thanks Tom. Indeed, my 02 Magna has the same setup with 2 wires #134 for the pump and #78 for the mirrors on the same breaker. However, my question for you is are you sure there are two dash circulation pumps in addition to the two Hurricane pumps? Where were your pumps located? One of my March brand Hurricane pumps is located next to the Hurricane. The other is in the inverter bay. As far as I can tell, these are working fine and are definitely not on the same breaker you mention as the the MP dash circulation pump (different brand) which on my coach is up front behind the "bumper". You think there are two of these MP pumps in addition to the two Hurricane pumps? I do not see why that would be necessary but it is possible. I am thinking that earlier models had the MP dash pump in the engine area and CC moved it up front. Or do I have to go looking for a second MP pump in the engine area?
