Love The Mudflap

You won't catch me without one after what happened to me four weeks ago. What looked to me like old time 6 inch cast iron sewer pipe was laying in the road. A Cooper (car) in front of me ran over it, breaking it into multiple pieces and sending it back at me. I managed to clear the front wheels, but it shot back into my outer dual tire destroying it. It then shot into my Mudflap bending it into a V. I had to take it off, turn it upside down, and walk on it to partially straighten it out. You would not believe what this missile did to the flap. The flap sent it flying out at an angle, missing the toad. The Coopers underside was torn up and the gas tank split open causing gas to run down the mountain in a concrete drainage flume. The fire department and hazard people came out to prevent the Colorado mountain side from going up in flames. Luckily, I can't find any damage to the underside of my coach except for a dent in the bottom of a bay and the destroyed, practically new Michelin. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Same here. We ran over over a flatbed side rail once and it did the same thing to our mudflap, I had to take it off and straighten it out and, since it ripped the rubber, I had to replace it. The rail tore out the wiring for the towed lights, but no damage to the towed. We also had to get some fiberglass work on the bottom of the rear cap where the MF attached to the coach.
