Parking Brake Sensor

OK, I've searched the messages and still confused regarding the parking brake switch/sensor. I have the common problem of setting the parking brake, but leveling system and my Crestron system not recognizing that the brake is engaged.
I've read that this is often a switch or ground problem, but I'm not sure what exactly to check....
I found both the air brake sending switch and also see 2 relays. People mention running a ground to it, but I'm not sure what to run the ground to. do I ground out a terminal on the air brake sending switch or ground out a relay?
Sorry for this basic question, but I'd like to sort this out on my own.
