Vehicle monitoring system speech processor

The speech processor is giving incorrect info about holding tanks status and the lights on the indicators are not relaying the actual condition of the tanks. Does the processor get its info from the light's circuits? How does one clean the sensors. I can understand how the black tank could read incorrect but the fresh water is affected also. Anyone experienced this problem? John 96 Magna #5322

I have had similar problems. My tank level LED do show the correct levels but the speech processor was stuck on the 3/4 full signal for the black water tank. It kept telling us that the tank was approaching full all the time.
So, I just disconnected the wire #377 (3/4 full) to the Speech Sensor (Voice Box) for the Black tank.
Yes, it appears the lights connections conduct the signal to the Voice Box for fresh water and black tanks.
I am no circuit board whiz, but I did do a diagram of the connections while trying to solve that problem and also repairing the Automatic Water Fill circuit board.

John...

Sounds like you have lost "ground" connection to the speech processor board...
First remove the 12v leads (both + and -) to the board... Then, to "brighten" the connections, unplug/replug ALL of them several times. Pay special attention to the ground wires at the board, and make sure the connections to chassis "ground" are "bright and tight". DO NOT USE CONTACT CLEANER!!!

Re-connect the 12v leads...
