Dual Pane Windows

the internal seal in some of our dual pane windows are "snakeing". I haven't contacted CC yet. Does anyone already have experience getting this problem fixed?

I believe you will get much further going direct to Segi, the window manufacturer on this. I have had customers have this happen to them and it seems like Segi assists in taking care of this on out of warranty CC's.

SI-GI has had problems with their windows since '99 that I know of.
Our last coach had the same windows. At that time, SI-GI extended their warranty from two to three years and attempted to correct their manufacturing problem. I don't know if they will do anything if the window is older than that. If the seal is creeping, the window is shot. There is no way you can seal the dual panes yourself. My current coach had the bathroom window come un- sealed. CC called SI- GI with the date code and they finally replaced the window under warranty. You can find the date code etched on the window.

I have this same problem currently. Windows were manufactured in 1999. I called the manufacturer and was advised that I must call and coordinate the problem through CC. I called CC and gave them the window locations, the etched mfg date and coach number. They filled out some kind of claim form and sent it to the mfg. This has all happened within the last two weeks. I am currently waiting for a response. I had contacted CC via email and had also included digital photos of the problem.

I had found this problem over a year ago and tried to contact the mfg with no success. When I finally contacted them, the rep there indicated that what I was seeing was a manufacturing process problem they had with spacer between the two pains of glass creaping from the heat. The spacer used only benefits the assembly process and has not functional purpose even though it is very unsightly. The window's seal is still in tact, however if the spacers creep very far, I feel the seal integrety could be comprimised.

Just have to wait and see what is offered through CC....

Interesting to hear your info from the mfg. That is not what they told me. I was told the seal between the panes was broken when the seal creeped and now we could start to see moisture collect between them. True it is ugly. I had the one in the bathroom replaced in Oct during my visit to CC. Good to hear they are at least considering a replacement but then again it might be a way for the mfg to dump it back on CC and let them tell you "no way".

I had this problem on a 99 allure and CC handled it with SeGi this past year. Since I was so far out of warranty, they would supply 5 windows and I would pay to install ($100 per window) plus shipping. Since I live near the SeGi plant in Corona CA, we picked them up and delivered them to National RV in Perris who did the work.
