04 Changes...

Full page ad for '04 CC Intrigue Ovation in this month's Motorhome magazine touting very attractive new features like 505HP C-12 engine, 68" projection television, optional 3rd roof air, available OnStar, and last but not least Hydro-Hot?!?

Am I missing something or what, ad refers to Hydro-Hot hydronic heating. In '04 is CC moving away from Rixens Hurricane and over to Vehicle Systems Inc.-- i.e., is there an Aqua-Hot (big brother to Hydro-Hot) in Magna's future? --wheeler (RV webpage: http://homepage.mac.com/gadgetnut/PhotoAlbum3.html

Being one of the instigators of Hurricane problems, YES CC has dumped Hurricane. So has Jim Rixens. More on our Hurricane problems and the CC fix to anyone who wants to contact us directly. It is too long a story to bore everyone with.

Hi Doug, I'm a prospective owner and I didn't know about this group's members' involvement in the Hurricane debacle, I had just read about the many problems with it... hope you end up with a reliable solution.
Regarding heating systems, the '04 specs are on the CC website now... the Magna description includes an available option called "Gold Heat® radiant floor heat system (only in Chalet)"-- I wonder what that is?
Is this floor heat throughout the coach (beyond the NuHeat in bath and galley?) Also looks like Aqua-Hot is not an upgrade option in Magna nor Affinity, is that possible?

Hi Wheeler,

Gold Heat is the same as Nu-Heat, just a different name. Gold Heat is much more labor friendly, it more "cut to fit" install rather that ordering Nu-Heat (where you need drawings and its ordered per floorplan). This is available in all floorplans.

Aqua Hot is not available because it physically larger and heavy.
Hydro Hot puts out the same BTU's, its lighter weight, and takes up less space. I would say its the new improved Aqua Hot. This is being used in the Allure thru Lexa models.

Hello Doug

I have a 2003 Allure #30858, and if you review Messages regarding Hurricane issues, you will see mine. I am on Hurricane number 2 and I am beginning to have problems with this one. The Hurricane has been nothing but a problem from the day we picked up our coach at the factory in Aug 2002. I had so many problems with the first Hurricane that they sent me a new one. It worked great for about three months, but now I have a 7 Code and no one can get it cleared.
I will be at Camp Country Coach in Oct (my second trip) to get a few things taken care of including the Hurricane. Please let me know what you have done to fix you Hurricane problems.
