Some things to look for - Pop Rivets

Mark, good timing.

This is a common problem on many Country Coaches. Last month I replaced more than 1/2 of the 150 or so rivets on my coach. I will have a Tech Tip article and pictures on this in the February Country Coach International eNews.

Same problem on a 97 Magna. Might want to think of using those self tapping metal screws with hex heads. Can be driven with cordless drill and have more body, i.e, not hollow, for holding. May not be able to use if head clearance is a problem but quicker to install and more holding force.

I replaced all of ours, and like you discovered it by a loose panel on right rear section. I found 3/16" rivets with a large head at Ace. The easiest way I have found is to disconnect the strut and have a helper (Kay) hold up the door while I drilled out the broken rivet and installed the new one.

Mark. if you come to the CCFI rally in Harrisburg OR July 24-28 we will have many service techs there that will be giving CCFI club discounts and could fix all of the problem areas at a great price.
