Crack in Windshield

I have a 2000 CC Affinity. I have a quote for drivers side windshield installed $1875.00, does that sound reasonable? Of course I found out I didn't have glass on my insurance.

That sounds very high for a split windshield. When I had mine replaced RV Glass Solutions paid my $100.00 deductible and the insurance company was charged $875.00 2 years ago. TWI 204 Intrigue 11731

What policy doesn't cover glass. I just assumed my policy did.

I had both sides of my windshield replaced last month. The installer said if not for insurance we would have had to pay 2100.00. So that is 1050 each.

Not sure how much difference in my '98 Intrigue and your 2000 Affinity windshields, but both times I've had mine replaced the windshield company said $850 (fortunately I had insurance). Unfortunately, some repair facilities have a price they've negotiated with insurance companies and another price for folks who don't have insurance. Tell them you want the "insurance" price!

I believe that the price quoted is WAY OUT OF LINE........unless you are in some far distance remote area, like Alaska or Newfoundland. If you can contact the glass mfgr. directly and find one of their distributors who is within driving distance for you.......you will save big $$. I was near South Bend Ind. and they had a distributor near by. It cost me around $800 for the glass and installation. I did not have to pay extra for delivery charges for the glass. I had the work done at Quality Glass Service, Inc. 1521 S. Nappanee St. Elkhart, IN 46516 -- 574-293-9508 or 574-534-5051. The work was done about 5 years ago and the installation fee was about $200.00. Give them a call to see who the mfgr. is and how you can contact them.

Good luck

For those who have had their windshields replaced....especially the older coaches, has anyone had their windshiels gasket/seal replaced as well?
