tow board

Last trip out I lost my rear clearance lights and brake lights. The fuses are all in tact and the bulbs are alright
I'm having a lot of difficulty locating the relays that control the rear park lamps and the brake lamps on my 99 Intrigue. I have clearance lights in front and along the top and rear, but the clearance lights and stop lights on each corner (primary lights) are not working.
I called CC tech today. Thay said I had to have two relays around the rear of the coach somewhere or perhaps a "tow board" with the relays mounted on it. Also located in the rear of the coach. No can find.
Has anyone experienced similar problems and can direct me as to where to locate these relays?

Larry,

Don't know if your coach is like mine, but the tow board is located in the bedroom, under the bottom drawer on the left. You have to remove the drawer and stand on your head to see it (well almost).
There are five fuses and three relays on this board. On some models, the board was in the engine compartment but got moved to the bedroom.
Hope this helps.

Hi Larry,

We have Intrigue #11238 and on our coach the box is located in the engine compartment--right side of the openning--a rectangular black box about 4 x5 inches with a pulloff cover.

On my Allure 2002 #30690 manufactured on 3/2001, Country Coach (while at Junction City, and also via many previous phone calls) and I could not find the tow board, in spite of the wiring diagram in the manuals.

Final explaination was that in that window of time, the coach was not manufactured with the tow board!!!! We had searched everywhere. Fortunately, I did not need to change the jumper for my toad.

Anyone with coaches very close to my number and/or manufacture date, find the tow board in an unusual place? (Yes, We stood on our heads looking in the bedroom drawers area and engine compartment).

Herb,

CC sent me on one of those wild goose chases looking for the tow board when I was wiring my lights for the towed vehicle. Even though the schematics reference one, my 2000 Allure does not have one either.

When we purchased our toad I went to a local small RV shop to have the tow bracket and lights installed.
At the time the two (Father and son) technicians could not get the lights to work using the tow board in the coach.
To expedite completion of the job I agreed to let them circumnavigate the board and install some other gizmo (it wasn't very expensive) in order to get operational. My intention at the time was to have CC figure out the problem and fix it while in JC.
However, apart from a loose connection in the connecting cable the gizmo has worked just fine and I had forgotten all about getting CC to look at it until now. As it works I think I will leave everything the way it is!
PS. I just went out to my coach and found the gizmo instruction sheet. It is manufactured by the Hopkins Manufacturing Corp. and the ref # is 311 - 0288 - 005 Rev B 5/00.
