Towing Socket Connections

Yahoo Message Number: 78395
My CC manual shows pin 4 (Black wire)on the tow socket connector as being "charge". I am having difficulty finding this on the wiring list. I want to use this to charge a battery on my trailer which is used by the mover, so I need to understand how a charge feed goes through this pin? From where? Is it fused? Where is the Fuse? What amps can one expect down this line? Does anyone use this to charge a battery on a trailer/toad, whatever?

Input appreciated, thanks in anticipation.

Most of the time the 4 wires are left turn, right turn, tail lights and ground. I have herd of people using the tail light wire to help keep the toad battery up. The obvious problem is when you want to charge you must turn on your lights. You must have a tow board in your coach and mine has 6 7.5 amp fuses. My 5th and 6st wire are for toad brakes and a charge line with a diode to control back feed.

Drew,

I have an 07 and my tow board is on the right side of the engine compartment wall easily accessed when you open the right engine compartment door.
