Panasonic rear camera monitor

Yahoo Message Number: 80505
We cannot get a picture from the rear camera on the monitor. Does anyone know where the access to the camera is located? We have looked everywhere we can think of and have found nothing! Is there something else we should be checking to solve this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ours stopped working and we found the wires underneath the dash were loose. reconnected and worked fine.

our access to the camera is in the back closet.

Because of the wide difference if coaches it would help if you would sign you posts with the coach number model and year.
I have had 3 Allures, all 2004 or earlier. In all of them there was an access panel located inside the rear wardrobe closet. Also all of mine had a plug connecting the camera leads to the wiring that goes to the front of the coach. That connector has always been what causes my camera to stop. Unplug and replug and it would work for another few days. I don't bother with the backup camera anymore and use the wife instead or vice versa.
There is a similar connector in the back of the dash unit that also gives the same trouble. Also both the camera and the monitor themselves may be in trouble.

Good luck finding the problem.

Just remembered something else. When the power is disconnected and the inverter is not on, and the battery disconnect switch is on. (no power at all to the coach) you have to reset the Panasonic to accept the camera signal. You can go online and get the manual to show how to do it.

PV,

I had the same problem. If you look behind the monitor you will see there are cable connections. They should be marked left, right and rear.I had to push together the rear cables that come together and secure them with zip ties to keep them tight.

Hope this helps
