Arm rest

I have a broken left driver's side arm rest. How it happened I do not know, but the wood in it is split and it is uncomfortable to rest my arm on it. How does it come off?

If I remember right on our 99 Intrigue you move the arm to the upright (vertical) position, then push the arm in at the pivot point (push from outside towards center of chair). Then rotate the arm further back past vertical and it will hit a stop and you can pull the arm out. I hope this makes sense and works for you.
