Adding a light to the multiplex switch

All. How difficult is it to add a new light to a multiplex switch? I'd like to add to one of the switch panels at the front of my 2008 intrigue.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Eric you can add/change any light already in the system to any switch panel by programming that switch panel. When I took delivery of my coach, I had CC reprogram every switch panel. I made the top row of switches , either the 6 or 10 switch panels, the lights on the Passenger side of the coach and the bottom switches, the lights on the drivers side. Then the lights were programmed from left to right, going from the front of the coach to the rear of the coach. That way if you walk into the coach , in the dark and want to turn a galley light on , it would likely be in the middle of the switch panel. Very logical, and user friendly. It took some time to sort out what I wanted and so , sent ALL the switch panels back to CC with a list of what I wanted in each switch position. They programmed all the switch panels and sent them back to me. There were a couple of programming errors and that created some problems for me as I got the switch plates back, just as they were shutting down , around Thanksgiving in Dec /08. I subsequently had Lazydayz in FL correct the errors. James Smith of the electrical department helped me out , when they were still in Chapter 7 and Lazydayz made the changes in the switch plate. We had about 10 spare switches - those not used as programmed from the factory- and I now have used all of those. You can't have enough switch locations !! They are now very logical and user friendly. It would probably be best to contact Kevin Waite, who with Mark Stone , can look after you. They just need to know the computer identity of the light , in question. I sent my programming suggestions to CC but they subsequently went Chapter 11 and couldn't use the ideas. They had people who didn't use the coach, program the system. If you have the time and inclination , every panel can be changed to suit your needs.

Ron thanks so much very helpful for reprogramming current lights. Do you know, If I add a new light can the wires from it go to one of the switch panels at the front of the coach paor does it have to back to the multiplex main panel in the rear closet in my coach?

Eric On my coach , and I assume most coaches with Intellitec, there are 4 black boxes, located for each quarter of the coach. For instance , the font passenger quarter black box is located under my kitchen sink. A large 12V feed ( and ground ) goes to the box. While each box is not the same , there are some dimmable and non dimmable circuits. I believe my front quarter box has about 10 circuits total. Each circuit has a fuse. This is where the lights, in that quarter of the coach are wired from. Once you wire and program a light from that box, it can be controlled from ANY of the switch plates in the coach. The switch plates only send a signal to the main panel in the closet at the back, and the signal goes from there to the appropriate quarter box, to turn on/off/dim a light. There is no wire from any switch plate to any light, only an electronic signal to the black quarter boxes. This is how the manufacturers were able to reduce the amount of wire and connection joints in the coach, and as a result, less wiring problems. On my 06 Monaco Dynasty with Intellitec, I was told it reduced something like 2 miles of wire and 1600 joints. Hope this answers your question

Eric I didn't mention , and just to clarify, you have to get someone to program the system and the switch plate for you. The new light has to be given an identifier, so the master box at the rear knows what and where it is located, and then the switch plate has to be programmed. I know Kevin Waite/Mark Stone can do this for you , but I am sure other places like OMC , the CC factory, can do it as well. In 09 Lazydays in FL had a tech guy who could do it as well.
