water in air compressor lines?

on our trip to Alaska, from the Arizona area the air compressor and air dyer had to be replaced. I was still having issues with the air compressor not holding pressure so it was replaced at Cummings Anchorage. I normally drain the air lines about once a month. About 2 weeks after the replaced Air Compressor I drain the air line and had about a quart of water comes out on one of the valves? Since then I've drained that valve everyday and it will splatter a 2' to 3' circle water? That has been happening the last 20 time I've tried. The roads have been dry except for 2 days during the 4,000 mile return trip. I would estimate I removed over a gallon of water over the last month. Had Cummings check it out in Montana and they said in was normally? For the last 5 years I had the coach I would normally get a slight mist on my monthly check? John Tanzi

I would gues your air drier is not doing its job.
I would replace the cartridge.

Sounds like a air Dryer Issue! Need to clear our all water and pull out the dryer unit for Inspection. What color is the water as it hits the ground? Did you have a certified trained tech do work on the air dryer? Never had your issue but a few years ago had the dryer element changed out as the coach is over 10 years old. Ken 99 Allure 30356.

I've heard stories about possible problems if not using a genuine Bendix filter. Such as the filter breaking down to a white powder. If this happens I would think it would no longer separate the moisture from the air and it would inter the air storage tanks. Lot's of off-brand rebuilds out there. I'd go the extra mile and make sure a genuine Bendix product is installed.

Mine is located above the differential on the passenger side. You have to look up fairly high.

There are two parts to the air dryer that need serviceing and that is the filter and the purge valve. Bendix makes a remanufactured filter that is much cheaper and new and per Bendix equal in quality. I spend my summers in Montana and I do not get a bit of mist when I open the drain valves. Bendix told me that this is the best way to test if you need to replace the filter but also a slight mist is not a problem.
