Hi all, Does anyone tow a Honda Ridgeline 4X2 or 4X4? I am thinking of another toad also. Thanx.

I have seen reports on other boards of others seeing Ridgeline in tow. But no one has ever claimed to be a person actually towing a Ridgeline. My research shows it is not four wheels down towable. Now, many people also claimed to have been told by Honda sources, that the same auto and drive train were in the first year of the new Ridgeline, Pilot and MDX as in the previous years Honda products. They claim that Honda wanted to protect their JD Powers ratings of both Acura and Honda, so only state the CRX (and Element) were towable.
Me? I wanted the Ridgeline, but tow a 2007 CRV, because I did not want to void a warranty.
I would really like to see reports of succeessful towing of a Ridgeline. I would really consider looking for a used first year Ridgeline....

Please share if you find out Yes or No....
Best to all,
Smitty

Thanx Smitty, my thinking also I like the look and feel of the Ridgeline and was wondering about the towability,I have a few friends who tow Late Honda Pilots and they are listed as not towable,I keep researching the question.

Jerry, I have been pulling a 2006 Honda Odyssey for 6 years and 54,000 miles and it is NOT flat towable. The 2005's were, but not my 2006. I bought it new and have not had a single problem. The dealer told me that I could tow it and they would would honor the warranty (I got it in writing) if I had a problem. They knew it WAS flat towable along with most of the other Honda's, but they couldn't cover stupidity by the owner. Too many people either did not go through the pre tow procedure correctly or not at all, and they had way too many claims due to laziness and stupidity. I haul three very expensive bicycles inside the Odyssey along with a bunch of other junk and it makes a great garage. BUT, you have to be secure in your manhood to drive a minivan.
